REL Transport are currently recruiting HGV 2 (Cat C) drivers to join our ever-growing team of drivers, working out of our base in the Stevenage area.
We are looking for drivers who are able to demonstrate a high level of driving competence with a flexible approach and good understanding of driver hours and regulations.
You will be working for one of the largest pallet delivery companies in the UK. You will be expected to be able to do multi deliveries and collections following a planned route. Experience and understanding of multi drop deliveries/collections as well as using an electronic POD scanner would be an advantage but training will be given. Flexibility and communication are key to this role along with good local geographical knowledge.
Successful candidates will receive all the statutory benefits of a full-time employee along with a salary of £24000 per annum. This is based on a 45-hour week, any hours after this will be paid as overtime. 28 Days Holiday per year (Bank Holidays Inclusive)
Requirements:
A Minimum Category (C) driving licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences (this is due to insurance restraints)
Must hold a drivers smart card Tachograph (Digi card)
Full and in date DQC (DCPC card)
Must not have endorsements for: CD, DR, DD
Full understanding of WTD legislation
Good knowledge of the UK road network
Multi drop experience is advantageous but not necessary
