REL Transport are currently recruiting an HGV 1 (Cat C+E) driver to join our ever-growing fleet of drivers, working out of our base in Peterborough.
We are looking for drivers who are able to demonstrate a high level of driving competence with a flexible approach and good understanding of driver hours and regulations.
This is a tramping position. We have various shift patterns available and are flexible in our allocation. Ultimately the shift patterns that we are looking to fill are Tuesday to Saturday, Wednesday to Sunday and some Monday to Friday.
Successful candidates will be required to have knowledge of both General Haulage and Fridge trailers, although training can be given if required.
Salary is £31200 per annum with a £26 night out allowance. This is based on a 5 day week, however where drivers hours allow a 6th day is available as overtime. This could increase your salary by over £1200 per year.
All statutory benefits plus 28 days holidays (Bank Holidays Inclusive) included in the package.
Requirements:
A Minimum Category (C+E) driving licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences (this is due to insurance restraints)
Must hold a drivers smart card Tachograph (Digi card)
Full and in date DQC (DCPC card)
Must not have endorsements for: CD, DR, DD
Full understanding of WTD legislation
Good knowledge of the UK road network
